You can't explain the rhythm that you need to smoke a pipe in a short video. Thanks for taking the time

Allowing my tobacco to dry about an hour before I packed it, completely changed the game. Flavor, significantly better. Number of lights, significantly less.

I've watched dozens of similar technique videos, and yours was the icing on the cake to bring it all together.  I especially like how you load the bowl

I just think about it like I’m having a conversation with a fire. It’s my own little fire and I’m talking to it. It gets quiet I coax it into speaking more assertively it gets to shouting too loudly I tell it to calm down. Just talking with the ember. My breath is my dialect while the smoke is the dialect of the fire. And we’re just talking back and forth.

What a great video. I spend a lot of time wondering how I can keep my pipe alight - but you have the best simple advice - "just relight it" - enjoy it and stop worrying about having to relight.

Thank you. I am fairly new to pipe smoking and have not found my rhythm with smoking one. Your video revealed that I have not been lighting my pipe completely.

Dude this is the most informative video I have found to date for helping a beginner figure out the details that matter. Thanks for sharing.

Bought my first pipe less than 2 hours ago, (savinelli flambé rusticated) stumbled on your video as I was getting started. Great insight, great demeanor, fully solidifies my decision. It’s been great so far!

Coming from cigars, the whole ritual with pipes has been quite the learning curve. The rhythm and drawing smoke has been the hardest thing for me. Picking up flavor has also been a learning curve... Cigars are much more "forward" with their flavors whereas pipes are more subtle in smoke production and flavor development.
