My great grandmother’s name until she married was Eva Lancaster… I was happily surprised to hear you say what the word “caster” means during Roman times in England!! I’ll never forget this now and every time I see or hear of a town with “caster” in it, I’ll know!! I love learning! Thank you!

Excellent post, I am loving this series, Thank you. I’m am never conflicted when bones of those departed are dug up and placed in boxes/bags. They shouldn’t be left to RIP.

Something I really like about English documentaries like this is when asked questions the experts generally answer with words like, possibly, probably and phrases like we think. Too many similar documentaries from the USA seem to state hyposises as absolute fact

You say it’s a strange feeling to be at the misrath but as stated seconds before it was moved from its original site to where you stood ,in truth, you are simply looking at artifacts and not a place where Romans worshiped. A real shame it was moved
