The thing that makes the Beatles different from other rock bands you’ve reacted to is all four band members write and sing lead vocals on different songs.

Ringo, the drummer, was on vacation on a boat when he learned that Octopi collect rocks and shells and make little gardens. He wrote the song from a child’s perspective. The metaphor is that it is a safe place to get away from life’s pressures and responsibilities and just have fun with friends.

Thank you for letting the second half of the album run naturally. So many people pause in between each song and it ruins the experience.

It’s not always about what it means. It’s about the vibe.

Beatles be like &apos;here&apos;s the most epic and emotional powerhouse of a song you ever heard&apos; then go right into a song about Mr Man and his little hat going on a walk.

Octopus&apos;s Garden is about an Octopus&apos;s Garden. It&apos;s quite literal. Ringo was at an aquarium or scuba diving or something when he learned that octopuses collect things like pretty rocks and coral and sea shells to decorate their homes. He just thought it was cool and wrote about it.

Gotta love the way the album &quot;ends&quot; with the line: &quot; The love you take is equal to the love you make&quot;. <br>Amazing way to close out a discography, since this was the last album they recorded together. All Beatles albums can be pretty different, it can be more heavy, more psychedelic, more love-dovey or story-telling, and this one captures most of this traits really well. Maybe not too psychedelic or experimental as other albums from them, but still great.
