Yet again religion has no idea how the cardiovascular system works. Things like hatred and other personality traits are part of our high order reasoning and part of the prefrontal cortex. What this dishonest preacher is doing is trying to redefine arrogance to protect his dogma. You have to DEMONSTRATE that your religion is true. You can't. You merely assert it. I have no reason to believe you. Withholding assent from an unproven claim is not arrogance it's parsimony. Inverting this dynamic frames critical doubt as a psychological defect rather than a cognitive virtue, shifting the burden of proof away from the claimant and onto the skeptic.
