A lesson that took me a long time to learn: you’re allowed to change your mind as many times as you like. It’s your life, and you don’t owe anyone an explanation.

As much as I love my house, there is always work that needs to be done and money that needs to be spent and it definitely can get in the way of traveling. Its a blessing and a anchor at the same time. I appreciate the honestly in this video thanks for sharing!

You are doing better than you think. For someone so young you have great insight and maturity. That will see you through the tough times. It will get better.

Being honest about you not knowing, is great wisdom right there.

We are so grateful for all that you share. Your journey is inspiring, even the parts that are difficult and the parts that don't go as planned. I know that you are strong and smart and I believe that you will find your way.

I don't even know why the algorithm put this in my feed, but good video.

I don't know your specific situation and so can't really give specific advice. But, two pieces of general advice:

(1) Don't be so hard on yourself. You moved to a different state, bought a home at a young age by yourself, and are also running your own business. Each of those three things require a lot of courage, and you did them all! I am proud of you, notwithstanding my status as a complete stranger. You need experience in life to grow, and even bad experiences are not time wasted -- in fact, you often learn more from the bad experiences than the good ones. And you have more bravery than most people out there, who talk a lot but may go their whole lives without even doing one of the things that you have already done.

(2) There is no shame at all in taking on a big challenge and failing. And there is also no shame in modifying the plan to reflect your experience. Don't think of it as "giving up" -- rather, you are making adjustments to reflect what you have learned. Sometimes you also need to reduce the degree of difficulty. So, maybe moving, and owing a home alone, and running your own business all at once was too much. Perhaps consider doing an office job for the stability while you get the home together and integrate into your community, and then running your own business once you are on better footing. Or maybe you focus on running your own business but do it in an environment that is easier for you to work in. It is up to you, but just as you were brave in making the first leap, be brave in making adjustments (and more adjustments) if needed.

This was a really authentic video and I empathize a lot! I moved across the country away from my family to be with my partner, and I did NOT realize what I was losing. Although it is the inverse of your situation, all I thought of when I moved was that I'd be gaining a partner and I could make new friends. But I miss to hell and back my parents and sister and feel isolated from all the people and old friends I used to be so close with. You are not alone! It is a rough time to make friends, especially as an adult, and all you can do is strive to make things better! I do this by going on hikes a lot with my dog and chatting with familiar faces at the local stores and bookstores (even if they are an hour away). Keep it up and know you are strong!
