  Anne was actually pregnant with a son when he fell off his horse at a jousting tournament &amp; went unconscious. Then she miscarried, as a result of the stress… &amp; I’d say it was compounded stress; not just from not knowing whether he would wake up or not, but also, their relationship was already on rocky ground at that point, due to a lack of a son. Consider the opposite having happened; Henry won his jousting tournament &amp; Anne carried full term &amp; finally gave him the long promised son. However, I can understand where the obsession might have stemmed from; the Tudor dynasty &nbsp;wasn’t necessarily in the clear, when it came to having rights to the crown… so they HAD to keep producing sons for long enough, in order to maintain legit rights to rulership. <br>Pregnancy back then, I think, was even more of a challenge than it is now, because medical/health care wasn’t all that great. The amount of miscarriages &amp; stillbirths that happened back then were numerous, almost like Russian roulette… &amp; the women were the ones who were generally blamed. <br>But that’s just like Catherine having had a boy as their first child, who died in less than 3 months of birth &amp; then apparently having miscarried &amp;/or had stillbirths of other sons as well the years following. <br>So it’s not that Henry couldn’t have boys &amp; it’s not that these women weren’t able to get pregnant with boys. It’s clear that a boy wasn’t meant to rule after him… at least not for long term. Edward dying at 15 was a blessing, because it was said that he was already showing signs of turning into a young tyrant. He was hardcore Protestant from early on.<br>I’m of the opinion that there are things that happen for a reason &amp; that the Tudor line was MEANT to come to an end. If that wasn’t the case, then either Edward would’ve survived, or Mary would’ve gotten pregnant. Elizabeth was the only one who was intentional about never marrying… &amp; I feel like that stems from the SA that she dealt with while living with Katherine Parr &amp; Thomas Seymour. I think that really traumatized her &amp; soured her to the idea of sharing or giving up power to a man, when men that she should’ve been able to trust betrayed her from an early age.

  Anyone find it interesting that the day that Anne was arrested - May 2nd - is the day that the current Princess Charlotte was born… &amp; the day that Anne was beheaded - May 19th - is the day that Meghan &amp; Harry got married? There are so many other parallels that you could make a list of, but those are some of the main intriguing ones. Besides the fact that Meghan &amp; Harry have some rather disturbing parallels between Edward VIII &amp; Wallis Simpson.

  I really enjoyed this documentary. It was refreshing to have Anne and Henry&apos;s story related by someone other than the usual two or three female professors who tend to dominate the Tudor documentaries and who&apos;s opinions and perspectives tend to heavily color their stories from a feminist viewpoint. While I admire these knowledgable women and have enjoyed the documentaries, I come away feeling that I have been a bit manipulated. In the case of Anne, she was neither the saint that they try to portray her as, nor the evil, &nbsp;adulterous harlot that earlier works and writings would have us believe. They&apos;ve sanitized Anne&apos;s sister, Mary Boleyn in the same manner as well.

  I personally believe that Anne Boyln was not a whore but that she was innocent not guilty.<br>Alot of &nbsp;the false accusations against her were fabricated by Cromwell. No offense.

  The fact people still villainize Anne to do this day as if women had any real autonomy then &amp; she was in any position to deny a king especially one as temperamental &amp; barbaric as Henry VIII. Anne played the hand she was dealt &amp; the true villain in all of this was Henry VIII which is exactly why Anne’s daughter went on to be a better ruler than her father &amp; ensured his bloodline died with her. My only wish is that he knows he got his legacy just not the one he wanted &amp; how despised he is.

  When he was having to chase her he was obsessed but once he got her he quickly got bored especially when she could not keep her impossible promise to give him a male heir which was bwyond her power and his to some extent I mean she did get pregnant wth a boy but she lost the baby it was beyond her control and he punished her for it he was a Psychopath who only loved and thought of himself
