Fun Fact: the majority of the cast was drunk/tipsy during parts of filming. That’s why it feels like they were actually having fun and enjoying themselves that much, because they were.

Such a perfect feel good movie. I love the way they took these ABBA songs and wrote a musical around them. I still cry a little when I see the "slipping through my fingers" scene.

If you listen to Dancing Queen and don't sing along you are dead inside. One of the best songs EVER.

Pierce Brosnan's greatest show of bravery is singing SOS. He does not have the voice for it, but he went for it.

I’ve always thought that Harry wants to be her dad, Sam wants to be with Donna, and Bill IS her father.

Woman here. I can confirm that my friends and I do sing at each other when needed. Sidenote: we are music/theater kids.

In the Greek chorus at the end, Bjorn and Benny are there. The original members of ABBA. They wrote all the songs.

IMO this is the best stage->screen adaptation. They kept the energy, shot in real settings (actual Greece), but prioritized acting ability over singing, which makes sense for a film that goes more in depth into character and emotion (close ups, etc).
