I think my favorite part of the K corp ampules is that it directly relates to Yi Sang, the focus character of that arc. While Yi Sang is able to grow from his past, the tearful thing can’t move on in anyway. It’s similar to how Yi Sang used to be, being stuck in the past and unable to move on. Only being valued for what you can do and not who you are. They were both originally treated well but over time dehumanized into mere objects that help others. Only Yi sang escaped while the tearful thing didn’t.
