Wow, the giant fruit has 4 chambers instead of the regular 2. If grown from the seed and if it had the same mutation - it would be great. It could potentially be cultivated and bred like tomato and increase the size of the fruit. Great find

If it is really unusual size it would be worth taking the seeds and cuttings to create a new fruit cultivar through selection.

Very cool — an heirloom variety of "black" nightshade!

This is probably the same mutation as in beefsteak tomatoes that makes them multi-chambered and much bigger(they are both in the genus solanum). Definitely save as many seeds from that plant as you can and share them with others who are interested. This could be used to develop bigger-fruited cultivars and this trait could also be transferred to closely related species like Garden Huckleberry, Wonderberry...(all in the black nightshade complex and they hybridize freely)

Very interesting!

Solanum scabrum maybe? They seem to have bigger fruit than regular black nightshade.
