Fun Fact: Several decades after the film's release, Lee Fierro (Mrs. Kintner) walked into a seafood restaurant and noticed an "Alex Kintner Sandwich" on the menu. She commented that she had played his mother many years ago. Jeffrey Voorhees, the manager of the restaurant who had played Alex, ran out to meet her. They hadn't seen each other since the original movie shoot.

Leaving out the Quint speech scene is tantamount to leaving the hot fudge out of an ice cream sundae.

My Dad lived out in Cape Cod when they were filming this, he saw Bruce (the shark) in action.

Another fun fact: the actors that played Quint and Hooper kinda hated each other during filming, which makes their bickering more authentic. Dreyfuss later downplayed the friction and they made up afterwards. Shaw was a great actor, but his drinking got the best of him. Rip Mr Shaw

Horror films DO NOT scare my dad but the scene with the head in the boat underwater, to this day the ONLY thing that has ever made him jumpscared😂
