Many tourists come here and think Paris is a theme park. But Grand Paris is a 10 million ppl metropole, a very busy capital city with the same characteristics and issues as London or NYC. It is part of the experience and tourists must accept it: it is not a museum city, it is a vibrant and chaotic international hub which is not designed to only please the visitors. Paris is Paris, like it or not...

You won't get Paris syndome if you go in knowing about/expecting Paris syndrome. “The nice part about being a pessimist is that you are constantly being either proven right or pleasantly surprised.”

Thank you for your nuance. It feels like people either think Paris is (as another commenter said) a theme park, the perfect marvel of urban development, or a garbage bin full of violent thugs (I guess for people who live in gated communities). But it's best understood as a huge, chaotic metropolis with a rich architectural heritage.

We went to Paris last July not knowing to expect and left feeling like it was one of the most beautiful cites we have ever visited. People were friendly, city was clean, we literally had zero issues. Would 100% visit again. Good video brother

:trophy-yellow-smiling:EXCELLENT! Paris is my favorite city and I have visited it many times and I always find something new and wonderful! She is the most popular destination in the world, so millions of people always includes the bad ones... If one is smart, you can avoid all of that! ♥

Merci. I lived many years there and moved to NYC. I am always amazed when I come back. Paris is truly a magnificent gem. Architecture, nightlife, food, transportation… I will become a Parisian again, one day.

My wife and I visit Paris every year. The city is spectacular: the Metro is easy (and inexpensive) to use, the markets are wonderful, the many parks are nice, and people are friendly. There are surprises around every corner. Hopefully people believe the bad things and stay away! 😍

I live here and it's a fantastic city to live in.
It's a large, very old city in the middle of the largest metropolitan area in Europe, so sure, you can run into sketchy areas, but that's a function of it being a live city, with diverse and dynamic population, economy and migrants who live and work here.
When people are disappointed that Paris is "not like they imagined" because it's not some kind of Disneyland version of a city that they imagined, tbh, it says more about them than it does about Paris.
Thanks for visiting and I'm glad you hd a great time here.

Too many people have negative opinions on Paris to the point that Paris became underrated. I'm so glad to hear about more positives about the beautiful historic city every time I go to Paris I have an amazing time
Thank you so much for this video!

French guy here, born in Paris in 1988. Moved a bit North and spent most of my twenties and thirties hating Paris, but recently I fell in love with this city again, it's a lot cleaner, very calm and peaceful, prices aren't that crazy anymore compared to the rest of France. Overall this city feels like it benefited a lot from the Olympics but the Spirit is here and not going anywhere.

Hope to see you again explore even more! And the rest of France is as peculiar and amazing as Paris but in its own way.
I'm so proud to be French and I love our History
