Rest in peace Dennis Krause. My uncle Charlie company he was there so was his Lt. Charles Boyle who wrote the book on this experience called Absolution. If anybody’s reading this and wants to get a really personal view of this and third infantry Charlie companies tour in Vietnam. Read the book that Chuck wrote. Again it’s called “absolution”. Rest in peace Dennis I love you.

In artillery field, the gunners apply TOT (time on target) tactics to adjust the shelling time so all hit the target at the same time and use high-altitude explosion shell to attack the personnel hidden in the fox holes or spread across wide areas

Those "anti personnel" field artillery that were fired horizontal were in fact called "Beehive rounds". They were filled with nail sized flechette darts.
