  Our mother is 86. She often says, “I’m the only one left.” When she says this, I’d say, “But Mom, you have us.” Until I listened today, I didn’t understand. She was the child in that relationship and the adult in ours. When she goes, we will be the children in the relationship. I don’t know which of us will be the last one left. Until then we cherish our mother for all she is to us. Thank you for helping me understand.

  I worked room service at a very nice hotel while I was in college. I had the pleasure of seeing Whoopi quite frequently during her month or so stay. She was in the presidential suite which was basically a fairly large apartment…. As her stay went on - gifts from fans began to fill her suite. I’m talking, framed painting and drawing, stuffed animals, cards, flowers, etc…<br>What impressed me the most about her was that she placed every single gift she was given in a place of honor in that suite. Nothing was piled up, nothing thrown in the trash. I could tell she truly appreciated the things people gave her. <br>She’s one of a kind and I respect her tremendously.

  Listening to the two of &nbsp;you, Whoppi especially, &nbsp;has allowed me to release grief i hadn&apos;t been able to feel since my husband died a yr ½ ago. He&apos;d had alzheimer&apos;s &amp; i had been his 24/7 caregiver for 5½ yrs. &nbsp;At the end there was nothing left to grieve. We had been together 56 yrs so thank you for your words. Now I need to make myself start living again instead of just existing.

  I am 82, a bereaved mom, &amp; lost both parents over 20 years ago. Whoopie &amp; Anders🎉on, this is the most moving, &amp; mean full interview I&apos;ve ever heard. You&apos;ve brought me to tears, &amp;<br> Thankfulness.

  I have a very dear old Auntie, originally from Scotland who was a nanny to Cooper when he was a baby. Auntie Susan always tells the story that he was such a good baby. She’s still around, living in Boston, she’s about 98 and an absolute sweetheart ❤

  My mom passed when I was 25. I thought I was gonna die myself. But when my sister passed at 47, I went into a depression, &nbsp;that I still fight on occasion. &nbsp;I was supposed &nbsp;to grow old with her. My father graced me with his presence til he was 87. It was then I discovered &nbsp;that no matter how old you are , being an orphan hurts.

  After watching the Sedaeis program, &nbsp;reminded me that about a year after my dad died I got a phone call and a man I didn&apos;t know said he just wanted me to know that he was thinking about my dad today, they were friends &nbsp;and he said my dad was a great man and he missed him. I was a daddy&apos;s girl so this meant a lot to me. I&apos;ll never forget it.

  I am 70 years old. The middle child with an older brother and a younger brother, who both passed away this year within 5 months of each other...leaving me the last one standing. To hear this morning, that others grieve being the last was so comforting to me. Thank you so much!

  I cried with Anderson and Whoopi too. I felt their pain and their loss and I also know that feeling of loss. It is something that always lives in our hearts.
