  Because Brooklyn's neighborhoods literally ran out of physical space and affordable housing to hold these rapidly growing families, the community began intentionally planning and building new towns outside the city.

  Systematically as the black New York City resident population are economically forced out of Brooklyn and other neighborhoods throughout the city overall the Jews have greater opportunities to fill in the vacancies. There are a greater number of Jews living in America than there are in Israel and Jerusalem.

  Moved up to Monsey, Rockland county where they’ve been taking over everything they can and Rockland serves as perfect middle ground between Brooklyn and Kiryas Joel. They create housing shortages for families of all other communities around them. The painful land grab in Rockland is felt by all that are not in their community. When we complain, we are told we are antisemitic. The families grow get married really young. Live on public services and don’t pay taxes. They take over public election boards, school boards, housing and village boards, yet, we are a country born upon No taxation without representation… we just want the same exact thing. Tax Them! Make THEM PAY THEI FAIR SHARE OF TAXES and cap the amount of Social funding per family at median size. Four children. After that budget! Private schools get paid for by private schools money only. There should be no Public school funding going to private schools and they should not be allowed to sit on public school boards deciding any votes. If they want representation, pay taxes, remove your HoW tax exempt status.Up here in Rockland, schools are being lost every single year, The East Ramapo Central school district is the only one in US to have had to be taken over by the state because the situation had gotten so out of control that even the public High School was left without a Librarian! When your children walkout and picket the street demanding the right to a full education, you know something is rotten! Meanwhile they have been continuously funnelling funds from the public school budget using “special ed” placements for their yeshivas. Can hardly recognise half of Rockland county anymore and we are either being forced out because it has now become too expensive to stay due to the tax burden off set on everyone else or too poor to move. 😢

  Thank you for an interesting overview. &nbsp;<br><br>I suspect that another problem with Williamsburg Brooklyn, aside from the lack of space to grow into, was the rapid gentrification that occurred in the post 1970&apos;s. &nbsp;Prices for rundown flats approached those of tonier neighborhoods in Manhattan. &nbsp;I recall that there was also cultural friction. The &quot;hipsters&quot;, for lack of a better term, wanted bike lanes while the Hasidim wanted on-street parking for their 8-seat minivans (needed for large families) who lived in crowded residential blocks often with little parking. &nbsp;The hipsters, the females in particular, passed through traditional neighborhoods in bike shorts and sports bras showing lots of skin, whereas the Satmars expected people, women in particular, to be covered from head to toe.
