  Hi Murray<br>Lovely video, and maximum respect to all these brave men that lost their lives in all the plane crashes on our UK mountains and fells. My local hills, the forest of Bowland, has numerous ones, a couple I’ve visited. They both have had memorial plaques where you can pay your respects. <br>I’d judge remoteness by the lack of roads but I suppose everyone has their own opinions.<br>All the best<br>Dave 🙂🥾⛰

  A very sad but interesting story. One of the most well known plane crashes here in the Lakes is the one on Great Carrs, where 8 servicemen lost their lives during WW2. There is a memorial on the site of the crash and bits of wreckage have been left on the slopes. All very sobering. As for remotness... well, for somebody used to the Lake District, I often feel that most of the Scottish hills and glens are super remote 😆😅 Thank you for a very interesting video 👍

  Quite amazing how the mountains retain these stories and memories, some sad, some tragic and some happy...I often have moments when I find myself just thinking and wondering about the past, the people etc who have set foot before me...quite therapeutic for me personally.

  Brilliant video, always enthusiastic and entertaining. Great story of the crash and survival. The RAF Mountain Rescue Service was formed from 1941 due to the multiple crashes due to wartime training and operational reasons. RAF Kinloss was likely the Team to have attended and assisted in the wreck recovery although there were multiple RAF MR teams formed during the war. <br>Currently just RAF Lossiemouth in Scotland, again still primary tasking for Aircraft crashes, Military and civil in the mountains. &nbsp;Examples I went to include the F15&apos;s on Ben Macdui 2000 ish and the F3 Tornado 2010 ish near the Rest and Thankful in Argyle and Bute..
