  If any of these games actually went on sale for $20- they would sell way more. 40-60 in perpetuity is just too high.

  I really like Arlo apologizing to Warioware fans. Partly because it is Kind but mostly because the idea of someone having any kind of beef with the Warioware fandom is inexplicably funny to me

  A couple other things Bayonetta Origins had going against it were that Bayonetta 3 itself was received fairly disappointingly by the fans, easily considered the worst in the main series. After an almost 5 year development hell wait and releasing an underwhelming game, Origins is announced and comes out in only about 4 1/2 MONTHS later. No high to ride off of and way too soon for most people to be craving any more Bayonetta.<br> <br>Also Helena Taylor’s little VA boycott drama was sucking oxygen from the discourse of the series around this time too, probably didn’t help either lol.

  Some context for Xenoblade:<br>They are likely still making a solid profit. MonolithSoft has a track record of knowing how to control their budget, after they BOMBED that in their early years. <br><br>And, importantly, we have inside info on them. MonolithSoft has been massively important to the design and construction of Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, and Animal Crossing New Horizons. From what we’ve heard, Nintendo just kinda… lets them do whatever they want since MonolithSoft is so impactful on their major franchises.

  im depressed that any first party game sold worse than everybody 1 2 switch... and especially that its the really stylistic and abstract bayonetta spinoff.

  “Is monolith soft making money from Xenoblade”<br><br>To put this in perspective, Monolith has litterally trippled its size in the last generation. It’s opened 2 new offices, one of which is exclusively dedicated to supporting Nintendo titles like BOTW. In fact, their main complaint is that they were SEVERELY understaffed all the way up to 2020. Between Xenoblade selling somewhat consistently (there’s some worries about how XCXDE performed) and also Monolith being arguably the most important auxiliary studio to Nintendo for their releases (Zelda, Splatoon, Animal Crossing), and they release DLC expansions for their new games, i think they’re okay. Also they’ve been using and modifying the same engine since XCX on Wii U, they’re keeping it below budget and working extremely efficiently

  Xenoblade really deserves better. Not just great JRPGs, but some of the best games I&apos;ve ever played. I wasn&apos;t even a JRPG person before playing them. Please go buy them!!
