As a helpless romantic the biggest tragedy of this movie was that that lovelock bridge no longer exists. The weight of all the locks actually made the bridge structurally unstable so they had to remove all the locks for safety reasons.

I can't decide whether Niamh's giddiness over magic or dinosaurs is more infectious. Great reaction!

1:06:40 i actually chose to interpret that fight scene as dylan genuinely doing his best to capture jack as a test to see if he has what it takes to join the eye

As the great Terry Pratchett once said: "It doesn't stop being magic just because you know how it works"

The water tank trick with Isla Fisher actually went wrong during filming and she barely escaped alive.

So, fun fact: In the scene with the pirañas, the escape hatch actually did get stuck during filming. And, that's the take they went with.

I also predicted the twist ending for Ruffalo's character, about half-an-hour into the movie. My mom was not happy(in an amused, proud parent kind of way) when I was proven right.

I want to congratulate you. Most reactors miss key moments in their edit. It may be just one or two, but they miss something.

You don't. Brilliant edit! Awesome job!

And I share your view that we don't get to see enough of the characters of the Horsemen. In a normal movie, that would be an issue, but keeping them somewhat ambiguous helps the final reveal. So I'm torn between learning more and keeping them mysterious.

I'm not a regular follower of you two, but based on this, I am now.

When I think about the story and how it plays out, this film feels very self aware in it's presentation of style over substance so the ending comes out of nowhere and they finally get to explain 'The Sting'. Another film worth a watch.

In the first trick in the opening, the secret is to have the same card show up several times in the pack! Perhaps 3 or 4 times and in this case, it’s the 7 of diamonds! It’s as simple as that!

I love this movie so much. It is not the best movie ever, but what it does it does so so so great.

Ngl I have seen a lot or reactions to this brilliant film, but this was one of my favourites. I am glad you could appreciate the true magic.

Idk whether you’ve seen it, but Bachelorette is a 2012 movie that has Isla Fisher and Lizzy Caplan as two of the main characters - it’s quite cliche but it’s super fun and they’re very good together! I was so excited to see them work together again :)
