  Hi! Great video. As a JetBlue flight attendant, I can say that your assumption is 100% correct. The regular NEO’s meant to fly transcon only have ovens in the front galley to serve hot food for mint only. With the addition of seasonal transatlantic flights to Dublin and Edinburgh, some of the “domestic” NEO’s had to be used, and on those planes it’s just not possible to serve hot meals in economy.

  Really wish more airlines would allow you to pre-order even in economy. If they could do it before the flight they would know how many of each meal to board to potentially reduce food wastage.

  JetBlue is actually quite ahead of the competition with all the amenities like the pantry and food selection on the screen. this is really innovative and i havent seen this on any other airline.

  Quick note! Using the phone as a remote is NOT just a gimmick. For people with accessibility needs, it’s a game changer. You can use the remote from your phone (which already has built in accessibility features) to control the IFE that you otherwise couldn’t be able to do.

  JetBlue&apos;s hot meals require an additional crew member to prepare for the service. Cold meals allow them to cut the number of crew operating transatlantic, which saves on cost

  Really good insight to why hot meals were removed! I wonder why JetBlue doesn&apos;t just outright say why. &nbsp;&quot;We don&apos;t have enough new airplanes with enough galley space to consistently serve hot meals&quot;. &nbsp;Or if it&apos;s another reason, even a &quot;it&apos;s cheaper&quot; would be more appreciated than corporate meaningless talk. &nbsp;Makes me feel really iffy when they can&apos;t be honest about this.

  I am a cabin crew for a major Middle eastern airline and honestly we don’t have crew rest on 9 hours and 30 minutes long flight time. We just use curtains to rest in between.
