I was there at WM20 and only learned from the people around me that Brock was leaving, l didn't even know Goldberg was leaving until after the fact, but l don't think people understand unless they were there how much the crowd reaction was a result of feeling hurt that we were invested in these guys and they didn't want to be here.

I didn't know the feeling in the room was for both guys and not just Brock but the feeling in the air was like we were watching an ex try to leave on good terms after we just had a blow up fight.

It was like we don't care AT ALL what you're out here to try to say to us right now just pack your shit up and get the hell out of here, this is already over so just go.

Wrestling with Wregret talked about Goldberg meeting his wife on the set of Santa's Slay, there is a hilarious bit where Adam Blampied talks about how they met with Goldberg's head "all in her business"

His 2003 run was OK. He mainevented 5 shows. vs Rock at Backlash. At Summer Slam in the Chamber. Unforgiven vs Triple H and won the tittle. At Survivor Series and won and then lost the tittle at Armageddon in a triple threat match with Triple H and Kane. Then had a big match vs Lesnar that turned out to be bad but the buildup was good. He was the mainevent scene for 10 months thats pretty good for a WCW guy.

Although I feel like WCW should've trained Goldberg longer, for what he was, he was a decent talent. There has always been that minority of fans who hated Goldberg from the start. And that's fine but those who complain about Goldberg not being a good wrestler are looking at it wrong. Goldberg wasn't a wrestler like Taka Michinoku wasn't a powerhouse. Goldberg was a powerful talent who was unique in a way that no one else was in WCW at that time. That's why he was successful because he looked the part of a star in pro wrestling. So, when someone says Goldberg sucked and didn't get better, I'd ask them would they also like to educate others that the sky is blue? Perhaps tell us that water is wet?

To be honest, his earlier run is some of the best TVs of WWE during my teenage time. Compared to Rock Bottom, Lionsault, Stone Cold Stunner, watching him destroy the WWE wrestlers with his finishers was another level,…the closest to that level of exhilaration would chokeslam from Kane and The Last Ride from Taker. But for someone that had never seen WCW back in those days, Goldberg stood out!

I am sort of a Goldberg fan. I mean, I liked what he did in WCW; it did get me to switch channels. But I don't understand his "logic" about the whole WM Brock vs. Goldberg match. These two guys on PURPOSE threw the match. Both of them didn't put in the effort because they got their "feelings" hurt from the NY fans. They could've at least put up a decent show on their way out.
