  <b>Update:</b> After the latest patches I am no longer having those crashes! The Sims 2 now lets me create new sims and load homes in different worlds without crashing, and The Sims 1 no longer crashes for me when traveling from world to world or to different lots in towns.<br><br>So as of now, <i>for me</i> these are solid, stable releases. If you’re good with the price, I’d recommend them! With some caution. There are still lots of players reporting issues. But at least they&apos;re currently committed to patching the games, and that&apos;s honestly more than I can say I expected from EA.

  The timing of this with everything Clint has gone through is crazy. &nbsp;Will Wright, the creator of The Sims, came up with the idea after he lost his house and most of his possessions in a fire. &nbsp;After Ashville got hit hard with floods and Clint&apos;s home got hit, it must be rather cathartic to play the classic sims games.<br><br>Hope you&apos;re doing well man! &nbsp;We&apos;re all rooting for you.

  Re-releasing a not completely broken version of Sims 1+2 is more than I expected from EA. A high standard, I know.

  The Sims 2 running on the Steam Deck looks so freaking beautiful. The graphics just fit perfectly on that smaller screen that it almost feels like a game that was made for it from the start.<br><br>Glad to see that they are actually patching the rereleases, there&apos;s hope that they might actually put a little bit of love into these releases. I personally like Sims 3 the most, but Sims 2 has a special place in my heart, there are just these moments and things that you can do or that can happen in the Sims 2 that doesn&apos;t happen in the other ones. I had such a big hit of nostalgia when I saw that U shaped house with the pool in the middle and that that beach with the homes on it, so many memories. I&apos;ll have to tell my little brother about this releases, he will love it.

  The fact that I was able to add my old save files and cc and pick up the game like I had never stopped is amazing.
