The music of the original Sims has always stood out to me. What tracks resonate with you? 🎶

If you like my deeper dives into game music, I think you'll really connect with my new one about Minecraft's OST: https://youtu.be/I2xfbO-4jHE

I always thought the soundtrack of the original Sims made the game feel a bit like The Truman Show, which is actually pretty appropriate for the game.

One of my most cherished moments is sitting beside my sister watching her play Sims.

I used to play Sims 1 24/7 at school. Now I always turn on its soundtrack when I need to focus and work for many hours straight. It's perfect.

The Sims 1 feels like it's from a completely different game series than the others. Beautiful game. Beautiful music. Love its message.

Build mode just blew me away as a child, it's been living rent free in my head ever since.

I saw the video title and in my mind I screamed "YES, SOMEONE ELSE GETS IT"

This soundtrack is miles, miles higher than any of the other games in the series.

Sims 1 music really communicated the concept of "everything is going wrong for you but the world keeps spinning and nobody else cares"

Unsettling yet comforting at the same time. The newer "fun" music doesn't really have that vibe. Almost the opposite actually.

I'm from Brazil. Everytime I hear Bossa Nova playing somewhere, or I stumble upon a pop music inspired on Jazz, Bossa Nova or Samba, I just hear it as The Sims music, and I'm instantly and mentally transported to the game.

The worst part is that I never found other similar songs to listen to. If you look for bossa nova, its not the same, if you look for solo piano songs, its not the same. Sims 1 soundtrack is unbelievable.
