  I came of age with FFX and X-2. I'm 40 years old now, and I've still never heard music as soothing as the various renditions and variations on Eternity ~Memory of Lightwaves~, the title screen track from X-2.  It's the most beautiful melody I've ever heard. And each version from the various soundtracks will always give me the feels. ❤❤❤

  My absolute favorite tidbit from this game is the fact that Wakka names his son 'Vidina', which is Al Bhed for 'Future'. As someone who absolutely hated the Al Bhed and all that they stood for in X, the fact that he used their language to name his son was just so heartwarming.

  I actually like the tone shift. It shows that there was an actual positive effect from the events of X. If it was just sad and depressing again I think it would have felt like a rehash.

  I remember standing in line on the day this game was released at Gamestop and the guy in front of me was trying to buy a Star Wars game but he was a few dollars short to afford the game and he was pleading with the Gamestop employee to cut him a break so I just threw $5 on the counter so he could get his game and the guy turned around and said "My Jediness thanks you"...... very strange and I still remember it till this day.

  I always saw X as symbolizing old Japan, a world torn by war and nuclear destruction (sin). X-2 is new Japan, a hedonistic fun world filled with cute cosplay, singing and travel. The shift might be jarring in game but it does reflect the real world in many ways.

  My interpretation of the &quot;It sucks&quot; moment, is that while Yuna is still dealing with the decision made that day (one that she had no idea about because Tidus hid it), she&apos;s pissed at Nooj for taking such an easy way out. <br><br>Sacrificing yourself was the easy way out Yevon did before with Summoners. Yuna looked at Vegangun and Shuyin and decided that they don&apos;t need the easy way out. That they take the harder way of fighting Vegnagun and calm Shuyin&apos;s anger, which is a psychologically healthier solution. <br><br>If you could solve all your problems with sacrifices, all that will be left is a pile of graves.

  One thing on the tone shift:<br>-FFX is dire. The world is in a spiral of death. The heroes are saving the world, with several making the ultimate sacrifice <br>-FFX-2 is a victory lap for Yuna. She suffered in X. Let her have this.
