  This is why LVMH wanted Hermés so bad.  Hermés’ expertise is unmatched.  While other companies find ways to cut down cost by automating production, Hermés remains to stay true to its handmade craftsmanship and attention to detail.

  In reality what we’re watching is how they come up with designs or their creative process so basically R&amp;D, but when it comes to actual manufacturing the bags that is done in a factory and now Hermes bags are half handstitched half machine stitched. It’s funny how they’ve created this PR machine to create a fantasy as if they’re still sewing all these bags by hand when an actuality, they are not.
