  This Yank first saw a narrowboat some 30 years ago while on a morning run at Abingdon. &nbsp;Your channel is a delight.

  What a beautiful river the Thames is there and the houses where fantastic.<br>Some beautiful places. It would be amazing having your own boatshed on the river and I loved the steam lauch moored out the front of someones house

  Really like the forward steering safely enclosed rather than standing at a tiller in the rear on narrow boats. I would be so much more confident with this cockpit and find it much more enjoyable. You seem to enjoy boating inside the cabin from the rain. Maybe a windshield wiper (even a manual one) might be a handy upgrade? It’s not traditional but to me, a welcome upgrade. I’ve had various sailboats from 15’ West White Potter, my favorite up to 30’. I’ve shared a Nordhavn 46 trawler. I’ve only dreamed of narrowboat canal cruising.
