I can understand why you guys like Joan Hackett! She has that sweet, innocent All-American girl next-door look and personality. She definitely was the star of the show! Sad to say you do not see actresses like her anymore in Hollywood. She was an easy woman to like.

Rick Jason was my step father for a couple of months in 1962 (I am Uta Silky’s oldest son), many years later I cared for the beautiful Joan Hackett as an onocologist in the early 80’s, combat holds so many personal memories for me, RIP to all of the cast..cheers.

just so well acted/produced..still conveys the message without laugh tracks or corny acting of todays TV shows...

Pff, the man wouldn’t allow the father to sit on the chair due to the maps being there but once the daughter went in later in; he throws them on the floor lol

Crappy ending. I love Pattons quote. " No one won a war by dying for his country. It was won by making the other guy die for his country ". Live to keep on fighting.

Thanks for posting the best show ever, Combat, power packed with life lessons and illustrated sermons, accompanied by great patriotic music, all to spur us onward and to not give up.

When I was a kid I would watch this show every week with my Dad who was a WWII vet. Whenever something was incorrect my Dad would say “that’s BS”. Before you point out my name I am a distant descendant of my screen name. My Dad was a first generation German American who was very proud to fight the Nazis.
