  Just one datapoint, my wife was in Part G.  She had breast cancer for 11 years.  Her plan basically covered all of the $4 million in bills.  If I had to pay 20%, I’d be broke.  Plan G might be more costly if nothing ever goes wrong but I slept well knowing I won’t go broke.

  I have plan G--------I had a heart valve replaced and then a series of health problems, plan G made sense to me.   My old workplace health plan was a PPO and I got tired of having to wait for pre authorization, and sometimes got turned down.   If I need a cat scan or Mri, there is no pre-authorization.  So far, plan G has been good for me

  As a 3 year user of Plan G. I am perfectly fine with it. I would pick it again, but I would never drive a Cadillac.

  I live in CT. I have a HD-G. With all costs loaded (premium+deductible, which includes the Part B deductible), the HD-G costs several hundred dollars less annually than the full cost Plan G. Best decision ever!

  My husband and I just started Medicare and we went with G. He’s already needed 2 surgeries this year and 2 more are planned (knee replacement). I gotta think we’ve already made the right decision for us.

  One thing that stuck out big time was when he said when someone gets sick and others have to handle insurances issues Plan G takes all that away. My wife contracted Granularmatosis with PolyAngitis (GPA) a super rare autoimmune disease that killed her in 12weeks. Genetically she should have had 20 more years to live and was healthy before GPA hit her. Thankfully, we had Plan G. <br><br>We didn’t have to worry about all those pitfalls built into the healthcare system. &nbsp;So she got the best treatment and doctors available. I never saw a single bill only once in a while someone would ask about payment and when they heard Plan G there were no more questions. I never had to worry about that stuff during a horrible time when I was witnessing the disease destroy her from the inside. Medical system doesn’t care what is happening to you or your spouse or family members they require payment and that’s it. Her costs for that disease had to be millions of dollars and not one bill. There’s so much to take care of after someone dies and not having to deal with medical bills and calls made it so much easier.

  I have the Cadillac plan G and have been grateful for the savings in costs for procedures or ER visits. My husbands cataract surgery was almost completely covered. We don’t appreciate the increases in premiums, but the peace of mind for limiting unexpected medical bills is worth it for us.

  It looks like I will be signing up for a Cadillac Plan G in a few months. &nbsp;Still crunching all the numbers but having watched an elderly parent through the last two years through multiple strokes, surgeries etc, not being fully predictibly covered is scary.

  With my monthly premiums and deductibles, with my plans G and D, I am spending 15% of my monthly income on health related expenses at 69 years old. As that Plan G premium rises, I can see that healthcare costs will soon equal housing costs on a monthly basis. My brother chose a 0 premium Advantage plan and was recently diagnosed was stage 3 lung cancer. His 450K robotic surgery was completely covered and he only had to pay about $900 out of pocket to the hospital. Versus the thousands I have paid in premiums.

  My husband&apos;s plan G went from $514 a month to $606 a month. United Healthcare Plan G.<br>He is 92 has numerous health issues. Last winter he slipped on the ice and fractured his back.<br>He was in the hospital 2 weeks and in Physical Therapy for 4 months. It covered all these expenses.
