I grew up playing "touch football". Wasn't until I was about 30 that I tried playing the real thing. Played 4 years here in Wollongong, then went to Japan and played 4 years there. On my last ever game day, as the only non-Japanese player in the league, took my team all the way to a prefectural 7's title. Was hungover as crap but my goodness it was fun. Such amazing memories. We played a proper stadium at Suzuka just round the corner from the F1 track.

Canada has a respectable rugby team. Liked you guys as a rugby nation since 1995. Canada vs South Africa is still the biggest fight I've seen in professional rugby. Only team I've seen that everyman was willing to go toe to toe with The SpringBoks.

When I played Rugby back in the 70's and 80's (Syracuse Harlequins) we had a spring AND fall season.

My Dad played Rugby until in his 50s. He was tough as nails. I grew up on the sidelines watching this crazy sport.
