I started following Dr. Sinclair when I was 38. I’m 35 now.

What stands out in this episode is how clearly you translate a frontier of science into something people can actually understand and act on. You don’t hype longevity — you ground it. You show that aging isn’t just wear and tear but a loss of biological information, and you make that idea feel both intuitive and empowering. The examples you choose — from super‑centenarians to elite performance at 80 to epigenetic reprogramming entering human trials — turn possibility into something concrete. You’re not just reporting breakthroughs; you’re giving people literacy in a future that’s already unfolding. That clarity is rare, and it’s exactly what makes your work valuable. 😀

In 2019 when the information in "Lifespan" came out I kept telling my parents, who both had macular degeneration, "just stay healthy a few more years; a gene therapy to repair your vision is coming in two or three years". Unfortunately, my father died from cancer/cancer treatment complications in 2023, and my mother fell and broke her hip the following year and passed away suddenly about a month after coming home from the hip replacement surgery. I was so angry that Covid-19 and FDA regulations had slowed down the adoption of cellular reprogramming into clinical practice, and so sad that neither of my parents got to benefit from it.

Lifespan has become my university and Dr. David Sinclair, my professor. Not a day has gone without me listening to one of this podcasts. ❤

Interesting case. There is a man named Carlos Alberto Lindao Vera, known as “Don Carlos,” from Ecuador, who reportedly maintains an active lifestyle.

He is said to retain an excellent memory and continues to follow a physically demanding daily routine. Each morning, he travels through the mangrove estuaries by canoe and works in the traditional production of charcoal.

Don Carlos believes that staying physically active helps preserve health and vitality. He also credits his well-being to a diet based on fresh seafood, rice, avocado, and green plantains, while avoiding processed foods.

Whether or not every detail can be verified, his story offers an interesting perspective on resilience, physical activity, and healthy life.

Dr Sinclair and team — thank you for such a digestible presentation on where the science currently stands. Your work is genuinely exciting, and getting the FDA on side is a real achievement. I particularly enjoyed the simplified models used to give visual representation to more complex concepts; they made the whole thing wonderfully accessible to the layman. A big congratulations too to your father for having the discipline to put in the work and maintain his health — a living testament to the cause. I await your next video with great anticipation!
