Very nice video indeed. I am a diy and I did the mistake of connecting the one end to the neutral cable but now I got the point. What you mentioned for the continuity and shorts finding got me confused

So I understand this correctly. Should I start at the end point of a circuit run to back trace where the break is in my circuit? I believe rodents have chewed through my wires. I 3 outlets that are no longer working in my kitchen. It's the final 3 outlets on the circuit. I thought maybe a receptacle went bad so I changed the one before the first dead outlet and it didn't fix the issue. I'm just trying to understand if I clip the black to the ground, do I clip the red to the hot or neutral then proceed to the next working outlet to see if it is the neutral or the hot that has been severed?

I was working on a power panel with multiple 16/4 wires to trace. I was using the Klein probe wrong tone on light and start at lowest vol and in crease for accuracy. Also you can confirm the wire on the bottom of the probe it has a pos and neg terminal!
