I wanted to go out for breakfast on my birthday last year, but no one I knew wanted to go. So I went alone. I had never done that before. I noticed while sitting at the table that MOSTLY the people around me were people eating alone. I left after a good meal, feeling proud of myself for not letting being alone stop me from doing what I wanted. It was a good birthday present for myself on my 66th birthday. ❤

I used to eat at a buffet by myself, and about 20 yrs ago a guy stops by my table and starts talking to me. He invites me over to a table where a bunch of people are sitting. I reluctantly moved over and sat with them and ended up eating with them for years. The last time I ate with them was when everything shutdown for covid. Now the majority have passed away.
