My late granny (born in 1919) made a tuna salad recipe that she clipped from Ladies Home Journal in 1942 or so. Since it was during the war and meat was rationed StarKist Tuna was a popular replacement. This recipe was simply a couple of cans of drained StarKist, chopped red apples, and Hellmann's Mayonnaise. Eaten on Wonder Bread. Sometimes she would add celery but not always. It has always been my favorite comfort food and I will never make tuna any other way! Others think I'm gross but whatever! Just more for me 😊.

I’m 70 and not only have I never heard of creamed corn sandwiches, Panini wasn’t a popular thing until at least the 80s.

Deviled ham sandwiches were everything. Chicken and cranberry sandwiches are still made in my home

Fried Bologna, grilled cheese with ham, french dip, tuna club, chicken salad, roasted turkey with cranberry on wheat, sloppy joe and a good Italian hoagie are all the sandwiches that I love and enjoy.😋

My mom used to make cream cheese and green Olive sandwiches for us as kids. She would chop up some green olives in mix them into room temp cream cheese with a little extra Olive juice. Spread out on toasted pumpernickel. Mmmmmmmm yum
