Great running tips!

I’d add a few more things: eat enough, eat healthy, stay hydrated, replace your electrolytes on longer runs, and make sure you get enough sleep. Those are just as important as the running itself.

The self-defense gear mentioned at the end felt a bit unusual from my Northern European perspective. Where I live, the security situation is very good, so I’ve never felt the need to carry anything for self-defense while running. The items shown in the video also require a permit here and can’t legally be carried for self-defense. Of course, things can be very different in other countries, and this is just my personal experience.

FINALLY! A running video from someone who didn’t run as a kid and ran their first mile in 15 minutes. This is super inspiring and helpful!

As someone who was never into running and slowly starting to run after years of asthma and obesity, I sincerely appreciate your story. Not all of us had athletic families and some of us have had health issues that prevented us from being athletic. Now that I’m in my fifties and my asthma is controllable with advanced medications, I’m finally able to enjoy moving my body. For decades I associated even walking, let alone running with torture and being unable to breathe. Thank you!

I'm just starting out and this is a breath of fresh air in all of the comparisons of social media. 15 min mile is what I can comfortably run at the moment ❤

Thanks for this video. I think what all runners (beginners or not) get caught up with sometimes is other people’s journey. Bottom line is - there’s always someone slower just as how there’s always gonna be someone faster. Focus on your own journey 🙂

So amazing!! 🎉 And finally a video from someone who has never run!! Too many of these videos have people saying they’ve never run only to reveal later they were competitive when they were younger or used to casually run 5 miles 😅. Thank you for sharing your journey! I’ve also never run and just started and this is so inspiring! I can get there too. Thank you❤

I’m training for my 2nd marathon also! Thanks for putting out good realistic videos of what to expect, and yes anyone can do it. I couldn’t even run 1/10th a mile when I started. But we all work our way up, slowly.

Thank you SO MUCH for making this video. I’m older and I’m in serious trouble with my health and fitness. I’m not being modest either. My health is rapidly declining and my endurance is shot. I need to start in short increments and build from there. I’m walking 20 minutes at a time a couple of times a day and in a few weeks, after a bit more activity, I think I need to try to add in running to help build my overall condition and stamina. This was so encouraging.
