I'm overwhelmed because in this economy, the amount I have to work to survive is horrendous. I fall asleep eating my dinner. My body is broken from the hard labor of cleaning houses. All this while still healing from PTSD. It's been like this so many years I forgot what it was like to have hope of rest.

So much of what Anna says will be groundwork for future healing/therapeutic approach.

Today's mainstrream mental health paradigm is a joke, including "training" for 'therapists'.

In my eyes, Anna is simply nothing short of a modern day hero!

God bless!

One thing that helped me throw things away was omg I'm donating this crap to the poor? That's not fair to the poor!! 😳

About the clothes! I have a painful autoimmune disease, Ankylosing Spondylitis, and it took me a bit over a decade to get accurately diagnosed. I held onto my dress shoes, dress clothes, business/office work clothes, jeans, ECT that I couldn't wear due to it causing me pain. I held onto them in hopes when I got my diagnosis, I would get better. Once I was diagnosed, and discovered it is a chronic illness, a genetic autoimmune disease, no cure.... I started to slowly donate or give myself away that I could no longer wear or use. Some people got so upset when I got rid of it, especially in-laws thought I was being "so wasteful". No, I cleared up space, I donated clothes to the battered women's shelter, I donated art stuff to a Girl Scout Troop as well as another lady that does craft tables at local events. I created more room in my closets and home, more space for new things. I also sold things too, which put a bit more money in my savings. I also created peace for myself, because hanging onto all that stuff I could no longer use, and to just sit on it, have it take up space in boxes.... No, I didn't waste anything.
I am also managing C-PTSD, and in Trauma-informed Therapy. I had to go no-contact from those who denied or disbelieved in my autoimmune disease and being Immunocompromised, my C-PTSD (due to past childhood abuse and trauma) and who pushed boundaries or exploited my empathy and kindness (including my in-laws). I choose to be around those who are emotionally, mentally, and physically safe, and it is reciprocated. 💙💜🪷 ;

PS, since I went no contact from unhealthy people, my pain and other symptoms have gone WAY down! I hardly have flares either. It is amazing!!!

This compilation video is terrific! If I had this 30+ years ago, it would have replaced countless hours and thousands of dollars of (then useless) therapy. Maybe with age comes understanding, but I also believe that this channel is among the best to help me understand what maybe caused some issues and then how to resolve, all in a positive package.

I love these longer videos of Anna’s. I love when she shares snippets from her own life, too.

I recently discovered your content. You have become my Mr. Roger's at 50. Thank you for helping me feel seen, understood, and explaining things so well and giving realistic tools to be better. Discovering I have been operating from severe Cptsd/Adhd as well as limerance has been profound. Understanding I've been a traumatized person and its not a character flaw is empowering. I feel hopeful for the first time in decades.

I really like Marie Kondo, how she talks about letting go of objects.
