I tried my best not to cry when she yelled "GO GET MY DAD!"

It's so devastating and haunting. Poor Rodney. Carla didn't deserve that to happen to her.

You guys could do a 20 part series and I'd still watch and love every minute of it. NOBODY on youtube covers a case like Stephanie... nobody.

“Go get my dad” has me so choked up. It’s exactly what I’d say in her position. Heartbreaking.

I was a runaway teen in this area in the 90s. 3 girls tried to kill me by throwing me in the Benbrook Dam, and the police didn’t even believe me. I’m lucky to be alive, as I hitchhiked all around the Fort Worth area. I’m responsible now, but thinking back scares me.

I’m certain Rodney heard Carla saying the words “go get my dad” in his nightmares for a long, long time. That gave me chills, I’m so sad for this girl. To be taken away like that and be ripped out of life so violently. My heart aches.

"Go get my dad," that just broke my heart 💔 & that her dad called her his little flower & her mother's grief is just so sad. Can't imagine the heartbreak.

June Ward was my nanas best friend. Last weekend she went to a march in Ft Worth for June to push for DNA testing in these cold cases and wore a shirt with her picture on it. 💔 I want answers for her more than anything in this world. Thank you so much for saying her name. It’s hard feeling like these women have been forgotten.

Poor Rodney, his testimony breaks my heart. You can tell how it still affects him deeply this many years later.

Cases like this is exactly why I've started to use the terms "Direct victim"(Carla Walker) and "Indirect victim"(family and friends) to make sure that it's acknowledged that family and friends are victims too.

Personally I could listen to a whole episode of just Stephanie and Derrick chatter! Your banter makes me laugh so hard, and it’s so satisfying when you get Derrick to actually laugh hard!

I love how Stephanie starts out telling the story. She's always respectful towards the victims and paints them in a beautiful way. ❤
