  Couple tips from a nurse that has had training in how to get away from an attack in close spaces… last ditch attempts to get away..<br>Any object you are holding, throw at them and say “catch!” , second of distraction is sometimes enough to get away. Same concept with looking past them and saying “ oh thank god you’re here” or “ please help!” Or “ hey Eric! Come here” Anything to get them to think someone else is there behind them. <br>There’s also physical techniques, all hinge on throwing them off balance for a moment, just enough to put distance between you and the assailant.

  What you guys said at the end about not getting in the car no matter what is so true. My aunt was shopping in Los Angeles in the 90s when two men grabbed her and demanded she open her trunk so they could put her inside. She had a huge bundle of keys so stalled while they tried to figure out which key it was. Suddenly she broke free and ran for the grocery store. They shot her twice in the back and took off in her car. The FBI later found her car and linked it to a major gang. They told my aunt that if she would have gotten in the trunk, they would have instantly killed her. She ended up living 15 more years when a bullet lodged in her spine. It greatly affected her health and quality of life, but sure beat the alternative. Very important lesson for everyone to hear.

  This #1 rule possibly saved my life. I literally jumped out of a moving car before it gained too much speed. I don’t know what he was going to do to me wherever he was taking me in Northern Ontario where there are nothing but lakes and forrest!!! And it was thanks to an episode I saw where you guys said the same thing where you said your likelihood of getting away from the second location okay is not so good. I’ll forever thank you and God for that.
