Alioto's and Fisherman's grotto # 9 were Fisherman's wharf, now both closed.

Driving through NYC in '79 I saw cars being stripped during rush hour in the break down lane lol, Manhattan was classy, towns near A.C. and the statue, scary!

What's described here as the collapse of Atlantic City is more like a re-collapse. It once was a beach resort. After it stopped being popular for that, it made casinos its attraction. Around 1990, with the casino business seeming to thrive there, just a block or so from the boardwalk and its shiny casinos, AC was quite run down.
