We Shouldn't Have Forgotten About Clancy Way

The moment I realized that Clancy Way is literally “Clancy’s Way,” aka the cycle of escaping and ending up back in Dema, my jaw dropped for a solid 5 seconds. Tyler’s genius is actually scary. Great video man.

This is crazy you posted this. I was literally showing my stepson the lore part of the band YESTERDAY and showed him Goner and said it was filmed on Clancy Way. His eyes got big, hes like "like the album Clancy? That long ago?" Which of course made me feel old.

that actually gives a lot of insight on how this world, characters came to be - of course Tyler would make it so that the main character is named after a street of his hometown and then he would look at the map and say "huh, i feel just like in this road, always cycling back to these feelings". i love it. thanks for the great video

Dude you just blew my mind, I'd never thought about Clancy way that deeply. I think you are 100% correct with this approach

This eras symbol of the album cover repeating in a circle with the skulls in the background to me represents this cycle. In every outcome, Clancy takes the jacket, ends up inside face to face with Nico just to end up in captivity once again. To break the cycle, he needs to not take it and instead take on the role of a bishop to actually infiltrate them from within and to do it better than they do. It’s good to have the help of Torchbearer but eventually you need to do it yourself, not accepting the jacket, reclaiming your name and helping yourself.

This was an exceptional analysis and honestly, something I’ve not given enough thought. The houses surrounding the circle look just like neon gravestones

What if Andrews and Clancy way bothh have the same HOA and this whole story is just Tyler wanting to tell the HOA that their rules are dumb but he cant escape the HOA's rules so he has to become them? So his extended family (if they still live there) can just cut their grass and decorate however they wanna

THIS. I been saying Clancy being named after Clancy way is important. Literally 'overtake your former self', become better than the version of you who struggled deeply before, break the cycles they once fell into.
