  The Momentary Lapse of Reason tour was so ahead of it's time. Today's concerts have all the bells and whistles, but that Floyd show used less, visually, than what you see with today's technology, but still ranks head and shoulders above.

  I can&apos;t explain why but I&apos;ve always been captivated whenever I hear Mr. Wright speaking in an interview, more so than the others. Maybe it&apos;s because we don&apos;t hear from him as much, and Rog and Dave are the ones everyone wants to hear from so they&apos;ve been interviewed to no end. But whenever he speaks I hang on to every word, like I&apos;m listening to one of the world&apos;s most humble and reserved musical geniuses. It&apos;s as if he seldom speaks because he does not need to, his playing speaks for itself. <br><br>I really would love to hear him talk more at length, strictly about music itself. Not just his work in Floyd but his own personal relationship with it, similar to the ways we&apos;ve heard Dave talk about playing guitar. He just seems so incredibly interesting to me and it&apos;s unfortunate that he&apos;s so much more overlooked than the others.<br><br>You can really tell whenever Richard is <b>not</b> there in a Floyd song. It loses that ethereal magic that is so often associated with the sound and identity of Pink Floyd. Not to say their music is only good whenever Wright is audible, Animals is tied with Dark Side for my number one favourite and it has probably the least amount of playing from Wright, and that&apos;s part of what contributes to the raw, bleak sound of that album, but the difference is undeniable. Whenever Richard is contributing it gives the music an almost astral quality, that elevates the rest of the band as a whole, it&apos;s beautiful. It&apos;s no wonder he always insisted WYWH is their best work, that album is probably the defining example of this thing I&apos;m so poorly describing. <br><br>RIP Richard Wright.
