My childhood.<br>I was raised in hippie communes. These days of increasing food prices I'm finding my way back to the food of my childhood.

Most of us old hippies still eat this way. No goats here, I make my cheese from soy milk or cashews. Growing food makes you feel like we were never driven out of the Garden.

I am an old hippie and lived on a commune along the kalamath River. We were called FAT CITY by the other communes in N. Ca. because we were known for delicious food. Same ingredients everyone else had, with the exception of spices. We used spices.

I still have a copy of the cookbook from the commune called The Farm. All kinds of inexpensive, simple, vegan foods in big batches.
