I’m a fly fisherman and I’d like to say how excited I am to see the lazy river build and adding more rainbows to something with some real current. They are some tough fish that love some good flow.

@bamabass for natural insect food, put a light in the middle of the ponds, have small wiring that dangle that hold an electrical current, at night the bugs will go to the light, and get shocked and fall into the water, you’d be surprised how much bugs and free food you’ll be getting! I’m sure you could make it to where it’s safe for human entry! Would be insanely cool to see with a live night cam

@BamaBass, I do not know how many of the comments you read but at the end of this video you mentioned the possibility of doing pond renovations in the future. My parents and I moved to Alabama last May and we inherited a 25 year old pond that has never been dug out and is loaded with muck and has trees all over the dam. My parents are retired and I am disabled so we cannot put a lot of money into rebuilding the pond completely. But we did hire a construction company that gave us a good deal with digging the muck out of the pond with an excavator. The problem is that only 40 minutes into the dig, their excavator stopped working. So its still sitting near the edge of the pond. Its been over 2 weeks and they seem very uninterested in finishing the job even with claims that they would bring a different excavator or repair the one that is already here. We are still waiting for them to finish the dig and have had very little communication from them. My mother and I love your videos and ive been watching since the very start of the 5 acre pond build. Even though its too late for us as we are stuck dealing with this construction company, I would love to see you bless some other people who could benefit from having their ponds restored or improved. So I would love to see pond restoration videos in the future. <br><br>Ps, we live about 45 minutes outside of Birmingham so probably close to 4 hours away from the Crimson Oak Farm. 😁

The bird in the grass at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WePFxSSBIkM&t=988">16:28</a> is an Eastern Meadowlark. Definitely not a fish eater.

The seagull type bird looks like a forsters tern. They dive into the water to catch fish kinda like a kingfisher.

I suggest adding salt blocks for deer feeding area. Minerals should improve their health and bucks antlers quality. Also, minerals excretion through deer urine around your property is like free fertilisation of the soil.
