  This is the explanation I&apos;ve needed! And the part about working on your trauma alongside your spiritual warfare and it not being opposites but rather things that work together in a person is VERY important and I feel as if it&apos;s not talked about enough.   I, too, am a convert and I did not have any of these issues in my first year of being Orthodox. &nbsp;Why? Because the catechesis I went through was nearly three years long and its primary focus was on formation, not information. &nbsp;Orthodoxy is not a set of doctrines one can learn in a class; it is a way of life which has to be practiced in order to learn it.

  Thank You Father I really needed this. I&apos;m considering becoming Catechumen soon, but my family are of a protestant non denominational church and they are very against EO and would even go as far as to call it demonic. But I have been attending a Greek Orthodox Parish for a while now and have never felt more at home. Please pray for me
