To download my wiring schematic of my entire system with links to all the parts I used for the install go to:
https://solarpdfdownload.com

My dryer is also solar powered, although sometimes I need to schedule its use, and requires minimal maintenance. It's called a clothes line. Love it. Wiring diagram: _________________ , no electricity, just wire.

I was looking for whole home and You are the first person who did a straight forward whole home solar instead of messing around with critical loads sub panel. Thanks

Thanks for the straight up, honest review of your solar system. I hope to see many more of these systems in North America over the coming years.

I also live primarily off grid with a large system and two electric cars. To have energy independence is priceless.

Sweet system man. I would just weld up a steel panels racks. Steel tubing is cheep, welding steel tube frames is easy for beginers, and inverter welders, helmet, gloves, etc are around $300 now, cheap like solar. Way less bulky, more permanent, stronger, looks nicer, all of the above. If you can install solar, you can do simple welding projects.

I’m not an electrician but when it comes to the extra battery storage, you will save 50% building a DIY battery. I built four 16 kilowatt hour batteries. Before that I purchased 30 kW of Ruixu rackmount batteries. I use IBMS system as the communication since there are two different BMS’s in the different batteries. If I had it all to do over, I would’ve purchased all of the Yixiang DIY battery kits. They were half the price of the.Ruixu rackmount batteries with more storage!

Thanks for being so generous with your knowledge

You should look at the Aousk brand batteries. They are about half the price of EG4.

So much has changed since you put your system in. But I think it’s getting ready to change again. I think the future is the higher voltage batteries up in the 400-600 volt range.

I live in a bedroom town near Seattle. I bought a separate breaker box to keep everything of substantial energy use off grid with only a marginal amount of stuff remaining on the grid. The panels are on a shed just below the threshold of needing permits. I can move the circuits back at any time should I decide to sell. Those permits would give the government knowledge of property improvements and here in Washington, they are salivating over more to tax...
I have been tinkering with this system for a couple years now at ever-increasing scale. There are regrets in some of the stuff I purchased, but each piece was needed to test and build my skills too. I am not too worried about the cost. I am still tinkering and moving things over slowly and soon, I won't even notice when the power goes out... 6KW panels, 21KWH battery backup handling some 20KW of maximum output. I still have a 10KW propane/gasoline generator too.
