  Glad to have additional solar on the system, and soon our bills will be back down to almost nothing when I get the hydro operational. &nbsp;This 5kW addition will take a nice chunk out of our electric bill, and given how little I paid for everything, my break even is going to happen within a few years at most. &nbsp;Hard to beat that. &nbsp;So far my peak daily production is: 27.1kWh, and peak sustained power is 4695W. &nbsp;<br>One thing I didn&apos;t mention in the video was Rapid Shutdown. &nbsp;That&apos;s a system that is required on most solar installs anymore that gives a quick and safe way to shut everything down, including reducing the array voltage to safe levels. &nbsp;This is for the safety of firefighters that are working on a building if they need to cut into it, etc. &nbsp;So why didn&apos;t I install it? &nbsp;Because it&apos;s not a house, and no firefighter should be risking his or her life to save my shop. &nbsp;I live so far out by the time fire rescue arrived the building would probably be too far gone anyway. &nbsp;But also, the old array doesn&apos;t have rapid shutdown, so it&apos;s silly to have a new smaller one with it and an old larger one without. &nbsp;They still wouldn&apos;t work on the building because of the old array, so it wouldn&apos;t change anything to install rapid shutdown on the new system. &nbsp;And like I said, I wouldn&apos;t want anybody to risk themselves for my shop. &nbsp;I hope some folks find this video helpful! &nbsp;Thanks for watching!

  FYI...<br>On figuring the back to back 90 degree bends when bending conduit. If you have a bender with a star on it. You use the star to predict the back of bend of a 90. So you simply mark the pipe where you want the back of the second bend to be. Put the star on that mark and bend the 90...

  As someone who just finished up a year long 900 acre solar install, your ability to learn new things (and apply it) is admirable. Keep up the always learning, it keeps the old head noodle sharp.

  Jon, so sorry to hear about Dozer&apos;s passing, he sure seemed to be a faithful companion and you and your wife gave him a great life, although it was short. God bless both of you for giving him a good life. &nbsp;A farm is not a true farm if you don&apos;t have dogs on it.

  He will be remembered for ever! The time with him is burnt deep in the soul of humans around him.<br><br>I often call it &quot;the book of life&quot;, some pages are colorful and overflowing with happiness, some almost got forgotten. Some you want to rip out and burn. But every page contains life, moments together with others or alone. Every thought, every action, every word will be &quot;written down&quot;. The both red strings of life, you and dozer shared, are moving away from each other /had stopped. Nobody can remove/erase your lifetime with dozer. The moments when he watches the geese or when he checked your job quality. Not to mention the time he protected the livestock while laying in the shade! Those moments are just for YOU and you saw them with your own eyes, YOU felt his body temperature, YOU saw him grow and moving around. He couldn&apos;t had a better friend than YOU!
