The curse that is D&D 3ed keeps on giving. The bonuses and penalties from attributes are too much. In AD&D the bonuses and maluses were much smaller. Sure, exceptional strength gave FIGHTERS big bonuses, but for the most part, attributes did not matter too much. Now everybody wants 10+ attributes, when previously it really did not matter so much if you had a 7 CON or whatever

I would say Raistlin Red Robes is Str 8, Int 17, Wis 14, Dex 12, Con 8, Cha 14

Oh, you roll HP hardcore. We roll HP but if we it's under the average then you get the average. So you can get lucky but not "unlucky". Playing your way must certainly be an experience.

Fritz! <br><br>Remember that especially in older editions of D&D a PC's charisma score especially affects the roll on the monster and NPC reaction tables.<br><br>A high charisma might be the difference between a parlay and a fight your party can't win (no challage rating guard rails in B/X or AD&D). <br><br>Don't take charisma as a dump stat.

"Ray-slin"? <br><br>But what do I know? <br><br>Call me a cynic, but I'd rather not see Dragonlance converted to 5E. <br><br>WotC will ruin the alignment mechanic of the original game.
