Add 15mph to your forehand in just 15 minutes of practice using these drills: https://www.forehandpower.com/

    OMG, what a GREAT video ! Such useable advice. And I love Chad's reactions when his racket hits your "wall" racket. If even a great player like him has trouble with those nasty old habits, I guess there's hope for the rest of us. So great !

    Possibly the most important video/lesson a club level player can see in their tennis life. Amazing and to the point.
Love Chad's expression as soon as he realizes the massive range of motion of his stroke. So cool to see this.
Ian = Fire.
Cheers,
M

    Yes, I did learn something new. I already knew that we should not take the racquet way back on volleys, but it is the first time I hear we should use our torso as a guide. I will try it next time. We can always improve our strokes.
Thanks.

    My biggest problem on the forehand volley is to hit the strings regardless if it is a fast or moderately fast ball. I am left handed and left eye dominant. I tend to hit it off center and sometimes frame it.
I've heard to watch the ball hit by viewing it through (the back of) the strings but that does not seem practical or the hitting point is way to far in front of me. Any suggestions?

    I think one of the reasons people (me included) swing too much at high volleys like this is they want more power on the shot because they don’t want the opponents to get the ball back. I think one thing people who have this issue could practice is drilling these high volleys, and then immediately hitting an overhead or reflex volley (from a passing shot).

    Excellent! I’d love it if you talked sometime about the punch notion that coaches always talk about. If I think boxing or MMA, volleying doesn’t seem at all related to punching and the link between the two seems nonsensical.
