I saw him in a concert in California.  He came to a ridiculously small town and sang for us hicks. Every person in that audience stood the moment he walked on stage and way after the now famous line "Elvis has left the building. " We thought if we just stood there and screamed, he'd come back on stage for an encore. But Elvis never did encores. I can truly say I think Elvis is the greatest entertainer in the history of the world.  We were told to stay in our seats, and not get near the stage. But I did. The famous moments when he would walk uo to the edge of the stage and actually give scarfs or a handshake or a kiss to whoever was closest to the stage, was pure Elvis.  Folks. I've never seen a more beautiful person than Elvis. But, of course he didnt kiss me. But he did glance at me,and I at him..So, folks I saw Elvis close up. I've been to a lot of concerts.  Seen some of the top echlon of singers in this world, but none of them compared to Elvis.  I wish he hadn't died so young. I wish we still had him, even if he'd be in his 90's by now.  But I'm so grateful I was in the generation that had him in this world. Elvis is the greatest of them all.

This was husband’s and my song he pledged to me after we almost broke up after 20 years of marriage .  It really described the lack of communication in our marriage and turned our marriage around.   After we realized the problems, we were happily married until almost 49 years when he passed away.  Brings tears to my eyes every time I hear Elvis sing it.  Thank you Elvis ❤️❤️❤️

When the King recorded this, you were 2 years and I was 7 years old. Today in December 2025 you died and I am 60 years old and you are Allways On My Mind. I love and miss you so much.
