  Eric Burden would stand center stage and stare holes into the audience. "House of the Rising Sun," "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood," "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place," and "Sky Pilot" weren't happy teen love songs. Each number tore another piece of your soul away!

  This song came out in 1964 at the height of Beatlemania. The Animals were looking for something completely different to end their shows - this is it. A truly brilliant interpretation. You should reaction to We Gotta Get Out Of This Place, another Animals classic. 🙂

  Eric’s style in this song is the tone of a survivor, experienced, strong and somewhat jaded. To see their appearance. so very young and straight-looking, is a huge surprise to everyone 🎶

  A great song! &nbsp;Alan Price on that organ. Eric Burdon vocals. The trauma is what has them be stoic. The one smile on the guitarist was because of the organ repositioning. &nbsp;Lol. <br>I loved the look on Panya as the song ended. Priceless. &nbsp; The Animals killed it on this song. <br>They have other hits like: We&apos;ve Got to Get Out Of This Place, Please Don&apos;t Let Me Be Misunderstood, and more. &nbsp;Eric has a great live vocal as well. &nbsp;Yes, that tempo speeds up in this song as well.   Bod Dylan had just covered this song on his most recent album at the time. He’s said that when he heard this come on the radio he had to pull off the road and just listen. He’s said he knew in that moment that they owned the song. <br>He said much the same thing about the first time he heard Jimi Hendrix cover his song All Along The Watchtower.
