I love the 427 Chevy, the best time of my life was racing a friend with his 1970 Charger 440 Magnum. We decided to just call it even and stop putting everybody in danger , whoever got the gas down first won the race. I still think I won the last one. But if youre listening buddy, I won't argue . RIP.

The only two V-8's Chevy needed to make. The 327 and the 427.

My uncle had a 427 in his '66 Chevelle that was a real similar build and he put a 4-speed muncie behind it. He figured that would be plenty strong, but he scattered that transmission in less than 2 months. Everything was brand new.

Had fun back in the 70's with a Corvette 427 / 4 speed , working as a service advisor at a GM dealership. What a monster for the time.

The 427 is an awesome engine!! Lots of power and a comfortable idle. Perfect for a daily driver!

Love the sound of that 427. They seem to rev. up effortlessly and so smooth. I lived the 60's in my teens, and still remember when this muscle first came out.

Bruce McLaren loved the all Alum 427 BBC in his Can Am Cars, and they were ANIMALS!. 800hp+ in the end, with trumpet mechanical injection.
