As a Strokes fan I don't even know how I didn't know how good this was sooner. Everyone told me stay away from Comedown Machine but this song is fucking amazing. This whole album is solid idk what everyone was talking about.

Comedown Machine is one of those albums that gives you that sad nostalgic feel of past you'll do the best you can to make it happen again. I always think this is such an album to listen while driving at night at city or somethin'. The Strokes don't miss when making music, no single bad tracks, not even demos and unreleased songs. And if you don't like one song right away, it'll grow on you and with time that'll change. That's the true nature of The Strokes music.

1:43 something shifts here with the subtly in his voice, the way he softly sings it just makes me feel something I can't explain holy shit!!!! sorrow, coming to terms, yearning, pain. this is always my favorite part and the part I look forward to in this song. when the night isn't ready for youuu
