Don't set all the bramble on fire. Save it for winter. Cut and leave it in piles in separate areas of the garden and when they've completely dried out, they make excellent kindle for lighting a fire / woodburner.

Renovate the house bit by bit... like I did. Get it's checked for rot and structure by an inspection. Start with roof and foundation renewal. Then an indoor toilet. In the end it would be cheaper and you will own a beautiful house not a container 😊I did it as a single mother with two little kids...you can too

Hi, I've built 2 Houses here in Poland, assuming the labour and materials are about the same, you'd be better off renovating. the roof timbers seemed generally ok from the garden, and rough cut wood costs nothing (Under 2k gbp for the whole roof) nice coloured tin sheeting and drainpipes about 2k work up to 4k (whole roof and structure). Whole house renovation kitchen, bath room, insulation, plastered about 30k gbp. If you might want to dump and run buy the trailer. it'll cost you 3k to level and grade, 3k to knock the old house down.. dont forget ground works for water, sewerage, new electricity connection (permissions?), and a crane to get it up there. Good luck..subbed, PS If builders are Jolly and smell (unwashed or booze) you'll pay twice the price and get rubbish. good ones always wear comedy overalls (its a pride thing).

Assuming your car has a clutch, when parking face downhill and if you have a flat battery on your return to the car, do a jump-start. Turn the ignition on, dip the clutch, let off the handbrake until it rolls, gain a little momentum and drop the clutch, rev the engine before dropping it. Be prepared for it to jump as it starts... If theres no slope, get someone to give you a push.

I bought a house near the Danube outside Vidin, about 7 years ago. Have modernised pretty much everything myself when I have spent time there. Very rewarding and extremely low cost. Spend about 3 months a year there. Love it

IMO forget the container home, its expensive and will never look right in that space.
You need to strip everything right back and start with a blank canvass then renovate on a sensible budget.
The trick with these projects is having the skills to do it yourself.

Look for a decent local builder, get them to price replacing the roof and making the building watertight. Get them to do the work, check the work and pay them on time. If its a good job then give them more jobs to do.
